Junior Program Course Overview
Register for Core Classes
“Learn to Sail, building block approach”

Our highly refined, time-honored Core Curriculum – a sequence of courses designed to develop skills from beginner through advanced levels. Each course comes with its own student manual, and together they provide a comprehensive sailing education when combined with our hands-on sailing drills.
Register for One Week Specialty Classes

LSS offers a wide variety of “camp style” one week courses for its juniors as well, including kayaking, paddleboarding, racing, and sailing catamarans. With classes beginning at age eight, and no experience required, there is something for everyone!
Private Instruction
$120/hr
LSS schedules private lessons seven days a week, beginning at age five. Instructors can help you and your child master a certain skill, go over a previous evaluation, or make up a missed class. We love sailing and want you to as well! We are here to help.

Class FAQs
Is there a swim test?
Yes, there is a swim test on the first day of class. Swim tests are completed in the pool next to our facility
What happens if it rains?
We will be on the water in the rain. If we are unable to go on the water due to lightning/thunder/heavy winds, we will remain open to provide childcare for our students.
Can I make up a class if I miss a day?
No, we do not schedule make-up days.
How do I know if I am ready to move on to the next level?
Students learn and pick up skills at different rates, and the best way to determine if you are ready to move on to the next level is to ask your instructor. In addition, students are welcome to call our office so we can help to assess which class is right for you.
REFUND POLICY
Full refund less 4% refund fee if cancelled 21 days before the course start date. Courses cancelled within 21 days of the course start date are not eligible for refunds.
