Directions to Longshore Sailing School

Longshore Sailing School, 260 Compo Road South, Westport, Connecticut 06880

From points South (Norwalk, Stamford, New York City)

I-95 north to Exit 17. Straight off ramp onto Rt. 136 north. Follow signs for Rte.136 north over the Saugatuck River bridge. At first light after the bridge, turn right onto South Compo Road. The entrance to Longshore Club Park is 1/2 mile on the right. Follow the signs to Longshore Sailing School. Westport residents with beach stickers may park in all lots. Others should use the designated lot just beyond the marina building. The Sailing School is adjacent to the pool.

From points North (Bridgeport, New Haven)

I-95 south to Exit 18. Right off ramp (toward Rt.1). At second light turn left onto Greens Farms Road. Go past 2 stop signs to first light and turn left onto South Compo Road. The entrance to Longshore Club Park is 1/2 mile on the right. Follow the signs to Longshore Sailing School. Westport residents with beach stickers may park all lots. Others should use the lot just past the marina building. The Sailing School is adjacent to the pool.

Directions from I-95 South:

Take Exit 17. Make a left at the end of the ramp. Go to the next light and make a sharp right. The boathouse is on the left approximately 200 yards from the light.

Directions from I-95 North:

Take Exit 17. At the end of the ramp continue going straight for approximately ¼ mile to the T-junction. Turn left and proceed through 2 lights. The boathouse is located 50 yards down on the right.

Directions from Merritt Parkway South:

Take Exit 41. Take a right at the end of the ramp onto Rte. 33. Proceed on Rte. 33 to the fourth light. Turn left at the fork onto Riverside Avenue. The boathouse is approximately 200 yards down to the left.

Directions from Merritt Parkway North:

Take Exit 41. Take a left at the end of the ramp onto Rte. 33 and continue with directions from Merritt Parkway South.

By Train:

Saugatuck Rowing Club is a short three-block walk from the Westport train station with frequent stops by the New Haven line.
